University of Michigan Athletes Benefit From Chris Bosh Cybersquatting Lawsuit

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Several University of Michigan Athletes have benefited from Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh’s cybersquatting lawsuit under the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act.  Over 800 domain names that incorporate the names of athletes were turned over to Bosh after the lawsuit, and Bosh has returned some of those domain names to their rightful owners, including U of M students Laval Lucas-Perry and Darryl Stonum.

Other Michigan athletes have had their domain names cybersquatted, including Manny Harris, Tate Forcier, DeShawn Sims, Donovan Warren, Brandon Minor, Denard Robinson, and Martavious Odoms.  If you are an athlete whose name has been used in a domain name, contact one of our expert cybersquatting attorneys today.
